Homemade Greek Seasoning

Greek Seasoning is one of those unusual seasonings. It has a strange blend of spices that at first glance makes you think it wouldn’t be any good. But the spices that surprised us the most were the cinnamon and nutmeg. But don’t fret we have found it best to blend up a couple of batches and let the spices mingle together for a couple of days before you use them. The mixture of these makes the dish more appetizing than it is.

Mix your own spice blend

When mixing up spice blends, we have found that it’s easiest to make a quadruple batch. It really doesn’t take that much longer, maybe a couple of minutes, then it’s done for a while. Be sure to store it in an airtight container. See? You get more of the spices by making them yourself.

  1. YES! YES! YES! My husband and I REALLY like a particular Greek seasoning that you can buy in the store and were just talking a couple of days ago about finding a replacement for it because it has preservatives and msg. :'( So I am thrilled that you linked up on Recipes I Can’t Wait to Try! Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this! I like to make my own blends. Would rather use what’s in my pantry than buy yet another jar of something. And I have everything listed!
