We’re continuing our celebration of apples today with a twist on a breakfast staple. Pancakes are one of our favorite items to have on our breakfast menu; sweet, salty, fluffy and satisfying. They can be topped with all sorts of fruit. Some of my favorites are blueberries and strawberries, but after I made the Fried Apples the other day, I could hardly wait to add them to my list of favorites. So with no further delay, here’s how I made these Apple Pancakes.
What are Apple Pancakes?
Apples are a healthy, delicious fruit that is commonly found in pancakes. The pancakes are easy to make, and the apples are the key to the flavor of these delightful treats.
Once your pancakes are ready, you can refrigerate them in a single layer or freeze them for up to two months. Once you’re ready to cook them, simply reheat them in the microwave or toaster oven. This dish will keep for at least two days in the fridge. You can also store leftovers in zip-top freezer bags. To enjoy them, you can reheat them in the microwave or toaster or serve them as an easy snack.
How you make easy apple pancakes
We started out by using our Homemade Pancake Recipe as the base. Do you make up your pancake mixes ahead of time as we do? It really is quite simple and cuts down on the mess every time you want to make them. Then added some finely chopped apples to the batter; it really is simple. Of course, I couldn’t help whipping use a fresh batch of Fried Apples to top them off. Talk about a yummy treat for breakfast!
The apples bring more moisture to the finished pancake, making apple pancakes especially hearty.
