Chili is one of those recipes that, if I had to guess, every family has their own special recipe. Our Slow Cooker Chili recipe is one that I have been making for years.
The variations of chili are endless. Some of our favorites are the Cowboy Chili that is thick and perfect for dipping with chips while watching your favorite sports team, the Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Chili is a delicious twist on the traditional buffalo chicken wings, or how about this 3 Sausage Chili with Green Chiles, and lastly we love chili on Hot Dogs!
No matter how you serve it, Chili is one of the best comfort foods. This Slow Cooker Chili recipe is from my very good friend, Dawn. It’s truly the best Chili recipe I have found..probably why she calls it Dawn’s Famous Chili!
The recipe could actually be called 2 can chili, because it calls for 2 cans of tomato soup, chili beans, pinto beans, and tomato sauce.
So if you are feeding a crowd, this Slow Cooker Chili is great! If you aren’t, the recipe can easily be cut in half. Or make the full recipe and freeze some. When Doug was working (before joining me at home), I would divide up the leftovers into individual containers for him to take to work for lunch.
Almost every time we serve this Chili, we change up the ingredients that we serve along with it. We always add sour cream and grated cheese, this time we added Tortilla Strips and red onions. Corn chips are also a favorite of ours.
Anyway you serve it though, this Slow Cooker Chili is sure to be a hit!

Since I don’t have a special, secret recipe, I like trying others’ versions. Thanks for the tips.
