The ingredients added to this Pizza Casserole are totally up to you and what your family likes, which is one of the reasons I really like it. I added pepperoni, ground beef and mushrooms.

Pizza Casserole

This is also a great make ahead meal and would also do well in the freezer. You could certainly mix everything and then keep it warm in the Slow Cooker, but really, the meal is done in under 30 minutes, so it’s definitely on the table fast either way.

  8. Just made on a “snow day” in New England for the kids — big hit!

No added salt? I went light on pepperoni, so added a little.

  9. How long would I bake this for if I freeze it ahead of time?

  10. I’ve been making a version of this for years. I use ground beef, Italian sausage, & cut up Canadian bacon. Also lots of veggies – green pepoer, tomatoes, mushrooms, black olives, onion. Because I live in MN, I have to add a can or 2 of cream of something soup, usually cheddar cheese & cream of mushroom. Then I use pizza sauce instead of tomato sauce. It ends up making a TON, but it freezes so great.
