As you can probably guess I love spending time in the kitchen, cooking for the family and coming up with new recipes and switching up some familiar ones. But during the Holidays I like to spend time entertaining and visiting with friends and family. And while preparing a large sit down dinner is always in the plans there are only so many times we can gorge ourselves. And besides I’ve got shopping to do as well.

Buffets are a great way to free up your time during a Holiday Party, by prepping everything before the start of the party you can spend your time entertaining your guests… not cooking. While hosting a Holiday Dinner can sometimes be expensive, fixing an Appetizer Buffet is not only a frugal option it also gives your guests a wide variety that will surely satisfy.

Walmart asked me to share my ideas for a Holiday Dinner under $40. Whether it’s a family get-together for Christmas Eve or a New Year’s Eve celebration, here are some ideas for a great buffet for your holiday party…
