With the boys back in school, getting dinner on the table in a hurry is a must. Between all the boy’s school demands, homework, sports and get together finding the time to sit down for a family dinner can be the last thing on everyone’s mind. But what better way to catch up on all the day’s developments than a hearty dinner that’s a snap to throw together. With just 4 ingredients, these Easy Stuffed Shells are a perfect dinner that your family is sure to love.

When I spotted this recipe on the cover of Taste of Home Almost Homemade, I knew it would be a hit with our family.

My boys love my homemade spaghetti sauce but when I am pressed for time a jar of sauce is the way to go. There are many choices available that can bring a blend of Italian flavors to your meal.

I recently received some LaFamiglia DelGrosso Sauce to try. A family-owned business, that started in 1911 has grown to offer 8 delicious sauces.  You can find the special sauce at local stores in your area.

Add about 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce to the bottom of the baking dish. After boiling the Jumbo Pasta Shells, I added a little cheese to them and then the meatball.

Add the rest of the sauce and more cheese. Cover with foil and bake for about 35 minutes, uncover and continue baking for another 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Serve with salad and garlic bread to complete the meal.

  1. I love stuffed shells but don’t make them very often since once you buy all the cheeses most recipes call for it gets pretty expensive. This looks just as tasty and a lot more budget friendly.

  2. I love stuffed shells and look forward to trying these. I am hoping to get some freezer cooking done soon and making up a batch of meatballs to use in this would be perfect! Thanks for sharing!

  3. What a great idea to use meatballs! I usually stuff mine with cheese, but I am definitely going to try this recipe. I like the turkey meatballs in the frozen food section at Walmart, going to give those a try. Thanks for sharing.
