Description
A special chocolate-dipped strawberry bouquet will delight your Valentine!
Ingredients
12 bamboo skewers
12 fresh, ripe strawberries (washed, dried, and chilled)
1/2 cup Ghirardelli Chocolate Melts
parchment paper and ribbon
Instructions
- Pour a heavy 1/2 cup of the chocolate candy melts int a microwave safe bowl.
- Melt for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until smooth and melted.
- Pierce end of the washed, dried, chilled strawberry with the sharp point of skewer.
- Dip the point of the berry in the melted chocolate and swirl to coat evenly.
- Hold the berry above the bowl for a moment to catch any drips.
- Place the finished strawberry on the parchment paper. The chocolate will set quickly.
- Repeat with remaining strawberries.
- Wrap the chocolate dipped strawberry bouquet in parchment as you would flowers. Tie with a ribbon.
Notes
Make sure the strawberries are fully dry before dipping for the best coating of chocolate.
If your chocolate starts to cool before you are finished dipping all the berries, simply reheat it and stir in the microwave.
Room temperature strawberries will make the chocolate take longer to set.
If you’d like to get fancy, you can melt some white chocolate too and drizzle it over the finished strawberries before wrapping them up.
