- 2 cups strawberries, cleaned and hulled
- 8–10 tablespoons sugar, depending on the sweetness of the berry
- 6 tablespoons strawberry jam (we used Simply Fruit)
- 4 teaspoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Clean and hull berries, cut into quarters
- Place in saucepan on the stove and sprinkle with sugar
- Let set 15 minutes
- Stir and add Jam
- Coarsely mash berries and bring to a soft boil
- Cook, stirring occasionally about 20 minutes or until thick
- Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice
- Transfer to bowl and place in fridge for 2-24 hours
- Transfer to air tight container and store in fridge or freezer
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 20 minutes
