Well here we are on our fourth week already of Organized Kitchens, how are you doing with organizing? I know we’ve been busy and it’s already made a big difference in our routines. We started off this journey knowing that for us this week’s project – Organizing Pots and Pans –  would be the most involved when considering time and cost.

We’ve lived in a few homes and just as each home is different, so is every kitchen. From the single file kitchen where you’re lucky if there is room for you, let alone all the pots and pans in our kitchen to the house with the kitchen that has more than enough room for everything.

We started with the lofty plan of heading to the store and purchasing all the nifty organizing gadgets we could think about, those custom racks with the ball bearing rollers were calling my name. Well it didn’t take long to realize that if I allowed myself to purchase everything I thought I needed I’d end up spending enough money to buy some new cabinets. So we decided to search for some diy ideas that would bring the cost down.

When you decide to tackle a project like this you need to consider that every kitchen is different. The ideas we present might not work as well for you, but hopefully you can use them to inspire your organizing.
