Tilapia with Italian Herbs

A perfect meatless meal for Lent. On the table in less than 30 minutes. Recipe from

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x


  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil, divided
  • 4 (6 oz) Tilapia fillets
  • 1 (8 oz) package mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup grape or small cherry tomatoes
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Gourmet Gardens Garlic or fresh minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons Gourmet Gardens Italian Herbs or your favorite Italian seasoning blend


  1. Heat 1 teaspoon Olive oil in a large skillet
  2. Add mushrooms and cook 4 minutes to release liquid
  3. Add tomatoes and garlic, cook 5 minutes or until tomatoes soften
  4. Add peas, cover and cook 5 minutes or until peas are bright green and tender
  5. Stir in green onions, remove vegetables to a plate, keep warm
  6. Coat tilapia evenly on both sides with Italian herbs
  7. Heat remaining Olive oil in pan, add fish and cook on each side 3 minutes
  8. Serve with warm vegetables


You could also serve with rice.
