Description

A perennial potluck favorite that is easy to change to you individual tastes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup bottled salsa
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup mustard, (yellow, spicy brown,)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon steak seasoning
  • 1 28 ounce can pork and beans, undrained
  • 1 16 ounce can pinto beans, butter beans or black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 16 ounce can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 medium onion, rough chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Combine together in a large bowl the brown sugar, ketchup, salsa, barbecue sauce, mustard and steak seasoning.
  3. Stir in the beans and onions.
  4. Place mixture into a lightly greased 3 quart casserole baking dish.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, remove foil and stir.
  6. Bake an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour until the beans are cooked. Stir occasionally.
  7. Beans will thicken as they cool.
