Description
A little sweet – a little spicy – these “wings” might just surprise you. Perfect as a side dish or appetizer, whip up a batch of these Sweet and Spicy Veggie Wings to enjoy this weekend.
Ingredients
Sauce
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy
- 2 tsp Sriracha hot sauce
- 1 Tbsp peanut oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
Cauliflower
- One large head cauliflower
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup Silk almond or cashew milk
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Garnish
- 1-2 green onions
- 2 Tbsp chopped peanuts
Instructions
Sauce
- Combine all of the sauce ingredients together in a bowl. Whisk and set aside.
Cauliflower
- Preheat oven to 450 and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray
- Cut the cauliflower into small florets. (The smaller they are, the faster they will cook)
- Whisk together flour, milk, and seasonings
- Toss cauliflower in batter until thoroughly coated
- Arrange cauliflower evenly on baking sheet
- Bake for 20 minutes until they are almost done but not quite golden brown
- Remove from oven and pour sauce over cauliflower
- Return to oven for another 5 minutes
- Remove from oven, toss around in sauce
- Return to oven for another 5 minutes
- Remove from oven. Let cool for 5-10 minutes
- Place florets in a serving bowl and garnish with peanuts and scallions
