Just in time for May and June celebrations (and busy school mornings), here’s a roundup of some of our Gluten Free Favorites: Trader Joe’s Baked Goods.
It’s a good time to be gluten-free because there are so many brands to choose from.
However, quality varies widely from brand to brand. We’ve found some baked goods at TJ’s that our family loves and I hope you do, too!
GF – DF Pancakes
These GF pancakes are tender and delicious dressed with syrup, almond butter, or turkey sausage.
Pro tip: We throw a package in the cooler when we take road trips for a quick breakfast and often use them for school lunches, too!
GF Chocolate Chip Cookies
Whoa. Seriously good and big enough to share.
I bake a good cookie, but wow. Even the GF skeptics will be impressed by this cookie’s chewy, crunchy, salty-sweet deliciousness.
Hide them or they will be gone.
GF Mini Sheet Cake
Real buttercream. Real buttermilk. Really delicious. The frosting shape reminds me of Hostess Zingers, but the flavor and texture is 1,000,000 times better! I’m a cake snob because we always bake our own (and they’re awesome!!), but I was impressed.
GF Plain Bagels
These are one of the better GF bagels we’ve found. They are tender, chewy and don’t fall apart easily.
We top them with cream cheese and salmon or eggs and cheese for breakfast.
They work well for school lunches, too.
GF Burger Buns
I get no affiliate earnings for this, but these are the best tasting and textured GR burger buns I’ve found.
They hold up to even the juiciest burgers or sandwiches and freeze well.
GF Multigrain Bread
A bit on the drier side of the GF breads, but the dense texture makes awesome grilled cheese, toast, French toast, or Girl Scout Eggs. It doesn’t fall apart and has a nice chewy texture.
GF Muffins
When I first ate these I realized that muffins are just cupcakes without frosting. Yay! Cake for breakfast.
But they are seriously good. The buttermilk keeps them luscious even after a week in the fridge.
Pro tip: I often top these with icing for a safe birthday cupcake my daughter can take to parties.
GF Mini Muffins
The frosting is not as good as the buttercream in the sheet cake, but for a store bought cupcake, they are great!
We use them for safe treats at family parties, school events, etc.
GF Dog Treats?
It may seem strange to include this, but my daughter gets hives if the dog eats wheat treats and licks her.
These treats let her safely care for our pup.
Clearly our family has a highly developed sweet tooth, but these are some of our favorite Gluten Free Favorites. Trader Joe’s Baked Goods get a lot of things right!
I hope you find this roundup helpful!
I’ll focus on other products next time, but if you have favorites to share or if you’d like reviews of other things, let me know in the comments!
