Switch up Pizza Night with this easy and frugal recipe. Recipe from PocketChangeGourmet.com. Adapted from Taste of Home
Serves: 6-8 servings
  • 1 pound {tube} sausage, cooked and drained if necessary - or ground beef
  • 1 package sliced pepperoni
  • 1 can {15 oz} pizza sauce or make your own
  • 2 tubes refrigerated biscuits
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese or pizza blend
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  1. In a large skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink, drain if necessary
  2. In a small saucepan, make pizza sauce or add can of pizza sauce to the sausage
  3. Cut pepperoni in half and add to skillet {optional}
  4. Cut each biscuit into quarters and place in a greased 13x9 baking dish
  5. Top with sausage mixture
  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
  7. Sprinkles with cheeses and continue to bake for 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving
Any pizza toppings that you like can be added to this dish.
Doug didn't use the full package of pepperoni, about ¾ of it.
