Grilled Steakhouse Chicken Sandwiches

Serves: 8 sandwiches
  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 cup steakhouse marinade
  • ½ cup french fried onions
  • ½ cup fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 16 slices Provolone cheese
  • 8 submarine rolls
  1. Slice chicken breast into strips
  2. Place in pan and pour marinade over and chill for at least 30 minutes
  3. Remove chicken from marinade, Discard marinade.
  4. Cook over direct high heat on grill for 7 minutes, turn often and base with additional sauce
  5. Remove from grill when done, cover with foil and let rest 5 minutes
  6. Saute mushrooms in melted butter on stove top
  7. Assemble sandwiches with cheese, mushrooms and onions
