Ingredients

- 6 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 1/2 cups sugar or 3/4 cup Truvia® natural sweetener
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon orange peel, finely grated
Instructions
- Wash and drain cranberries
- In a large saucepan, combine juice, sugar, salt and cinnamon stick
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar
- Cook for 1 minute
- Add the cranberries, bring to a boil, reduce heat
- Boil gently over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes or until skins pop, stirring occasionally
- Stir in orange peel
- Cool completely, remove cinnamon stick
- If desired, slightly mash the cranberries
- Serve with crackers, cream cheese, as a side dish, or give as a gift
