  • In addition, to keep the turkey off the bottom of the Slow Cooker, to allow for the juices to flow and to cook evenly you can either use 3 balls of foil or use a large onion, just clean the onion and roughly slice it into chunks. Then, use a little oil and a sprinkle of seasonings you probably already have in your cupboard, and into the Slow Cooker, it goes.
  • Finally, let it cook on low for 3-4 hours for a 2-3 pound turkey breast. Slow and low is best.

  1. I have cooked a whole turkey in a slow cooker and it is wonderful so this would be too.

    • Hi Amanda, I’ve always cooked the turkey breast on a low setting. If you need to cook it quickly you can cook it on high but I like to cook it slow.

    • Hi Maureen, for a turkey breast of that size I would recommend cooking it 4-5 hours. Always check with an instant read thermometer to make sure it’s done.

    • Hi Meghan, no there is no liquid. By placing the turkey breast on the balls of foil, it allows the meat to cook on the bottom also and the juice comes from the turkey.

        I only had 1/4 of an onion so I used baby carrots to keep the turkey off the bottom. An added tasty bonus.

          It depends on how big of a turkey you had. It is possible. But if you try it and consider it to be too little juice left the you can always add over it.

    • Hi Barbara, the only veggie in this is the onion that is used if you don’t want to use foil balls. You can certainly eat it if you like.
