Kid’s Valentine Lunch Menu

  • Grilled Mac & Cheese Sandwich {recipe below}
  • Tomato Soup
  • Heart shaped Fruit Kabobs
  • Homemade Peanut Butter Cups and a handful of M&M’s
  • Milk

For the Heart shaped Fruit Kabobs, we used strawberries, watermelon and cantaloupe  Cut thick slices of watermelon and cantaloupe and then cut with a small heart shape cookie cutter. Gently push onto straw. On the ends of the straw, we added a strawberry for the point and another strawberry that we left the green on for the fletching of the arrow.

For dessert, we served a Homemade Peanut Butter Cup and a handful of M&M’s.

What are most kid’s favorites? Grilled Cheese and Mac & Cheese…so we brought the two together and created this delicious sandwich, and threw in some bacon for good measure!

To pull together the Kid’s Valentine Lunch, we used a wicker red charger that I had left from Fourth of July, and added a square white plate. The soup is served in a paper cup that we found at Target. A fun heart shaped straw left over from the Cupcake Fondue is in the milk. And the create-your-own Conversation Hearts allow you to personalize this special lunch! A few hearts cut from scrapbook paper and a doily brighten up the place setting!
