Ham and Cheese Pocket Simple Ingredients

To get started, open the tube of biscuits and separate each one. Use a cutting board and rolling pin to flatten each biscuit into a thin layer.

Note: if the biscuits become sticky, lightly flour the cutting board and rolling pin.

Lift the flattened biscuit off the surface to ensure it is not sticking and then add a spoonful of ham and cheese to the center of it.

Brush some egg white on one side of the biscuit; then fold the biscuit over  and seal with a fork dipped in egg white, pressing the two pieces of the biscuit together firmly.

Ham and Cheese Pocket Assembly

Lightly brush on some melted butter and sprinkle with oregano.

Lay the pockets on a sprayed cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for about 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.

Ham and Cheese Pockets Ready for the Oven

  1. Great idea for leftovers — or just because they sound really good! I like “flexible” recipes where you can use the ingredients you have on hand – no swiss cheese, use what you’ve got! I would love it if you would consider linking sometime to Busy Monday at A Pinch of Joy, a Sunday through Thursday link party for ideas that make life easier, better and more fun!
