Chili–we always had elbow macaroni with chili. Mom never put it in the chili, it was just on the side and chilled to help cool off the chili when we ate. She always let me have a bowl of hot noodles with butter and milk. To this day, this is how I love my chili–and I always give myself a bowl of milk, butter, and noodles. Sometimes when I’m feeling the need to go back to a simpler time, I may just cook some elbow noodles and have that bowl with milk and butter!
