We have been chatting about holiday traditions this week, coloring eggs, and Easter brunch recipes. Today I’d like to tell you a little about my Mom. She was an excellent cook, and many holidays were spent with family members and great food! One of the things she always made was cloverleaf rolls. I remember the aroma of them baking, it filled the house. Now, Mom used to always make them from scratch, but since we are updating old traditions with new methods for the Easter Recipes, I decided to use my bread machine for it.

These rolls are perfect for any holiday and easy enough for a special weeknight meal. Since I haven’t made them in the bread machine before, I knew right where to go for the recipe… MomAdvice! She has great recipes for the bread machine, like the one we used on the Homemade Pizza Pockets.

The recipe is for basic Buttery Rolls, and I just formed 1-inch small balls on placed three of them in a muffin tin to form the cloverleaf rolls. It is an easy recipe to make that is why I urge you to try it out.

These rolls were delicious, flaky and still moist. We tried several different sizes, the 1 inch balls were the best.

Doug says…
I could hardly wait for these to come out of the oven, they smelled so good.

  1. Thank you so much for this recipe. Made these for Thanksgiving dinner today and everyone loved them! Nobody has made homemade rolls for our dinners for years, since my Grandmother used to bring them. They were ‘almost’ as good as hers! Definitely a keeper. It was so easy too! Happy Thanksgiving.
